Description | Spokane Valley Fire Department (SVFD) requests qualifications from Design-Builders for the construction of a new Training Facility, using the procedure permitted under Chapter 39.10 of the RCW, as amended, for selected projects for public works contracting in lieu of sealed bids. The project consists of a new, 12,500 sq. ft. training facility. The project construction budget is approximately $7.1 million. Design is anticipated to begin in February 2023 and completed in July 2023. Construction is anticipated between May 2023 to July 2024. The Design-Builder shall provide high-quality services including scheduling, phasing logistics, collaboration with the design consultants, manage and estimate design budgets and design contingency solutions, direct construction best practices, organize design investigative work and provide assistance in the selection of materials and building systems, solicit and manage subcontractor bid packages and supplier bidding. The Design-Builder shall provide high quality construction services to safely deliver a superior project that comprises the full scope of program needs set by SVFD that is on time and within budget. The Project name and submittal date must appear on the outside of all submittals. Any firm failing to submit its qualifications in accordance with the procedures set forth in the Request for Qualifications may be considered non-responsive.
