The existing building was remodeled into an Applebee's Restaurant in 2013. During that renovation the entry vestibule on the southeast corner of the building was added. The vestibule was constructed on the existing exterior flatwork under an existing cover/soffit area. The vestibule area has been observed to be settling, causing the operation of the main entry door to exceed force of 5lbs to open and causing issues with the locking mechanism engagement. In addition the slope of the door maneuvering clear area exceeds 2%. The purpose of this project is to repair the insufficient foundations at the entry vestibule. The addition of new grade beams tied to existing structural foundations will support the current vestibule slab after leveling operations to rectify the observed movement. Tile will also need to be replaced to match the existing. During construction, the storefront on the same side of the building will be modified to create an alternate entry/egress door to maintain restaurant operations. *The bid list for this project may be incomplete.
