Description

The existing Regional Water Reclamation Facility (RWRF) is an extended aeration, California Title 22 wastewater treatment facility designed for nitrification/denitrification and phosphorus removal. The current plant capacity is 8.0 mgd (annual average flow) and can support 17.6 mgd during peak wet weather flow events. The RWRF consists of two liquid treatment trains (designated as Train A & Train B) with combined solids dewatering. New construction includes construction of new fine screen facility, two aereation basins, membrane bioreactor (MBR) facility, UV dsinfection facility, Beltpress Building, Maintenance Workshop Building, ,Train A filter feed pump station, and improvements to the 51-inch influent bypass manhole. Other work includes modifications and expansion of the influent pump station, headworks, odor control facility, and modifications to dewatering area, Train B Filter actuators replacement, Operations Building modifications, replacement of Train A RAS/WAS pump station valves and piping, replacement of control panels at the scum pump stations for Train A clarifiers, and improvements to the Train B Filters including media replacement. The modifications to the Operations Building include upgrades to the HVAC system, relocation of the microbiology lab, and modifications to office space, kitchen/breakroom upgrades, and security improvements.
