PROJECT SB 1821 BREC FRENCHTOWN CONSERVATION AREA: WATER WELL DRILLING & ENCLOSURE 17819 FRENCHTOWN ROAD, CENTRAL, LA 70739 Project Description: Drill a public water supply well in accordance with all state and regulatory statute as well as per permit requirements. Cap and seal an old existing water well. Build an elevated structure to house the well and provide all equipment for the well as per the plans and specifications. Bidders or their authorized representatives are invited to be present. No bids will be received after the same day and date. Bids, amendments to bids, or requests for withdrawal of bids, received after the time specified for bid opening shall not be considered for any cause whatsoever, except as required by law. Bids shall be firm for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date of the opening of bids and no bid shall be withdrawn for any reason during this period of time except as allowed per LSA-R.S.38:2214.C. Bids with no license number will be rejected. One (1) copy of the bid form shall be submitted. Bid form blanks must be duly filled in by the Bidder. Bidders are cautioned not to attach any conditions or provisions to their proposals. Any foreign conditions will render the proposal invalid and may cause its rejection. A Certified Check or Cashiers Check, payable to the Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge or a satisfactory Bid Bond, in compliance with LSA-R.S. 38:2218.A&C, executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid, shall be submitted with each paper bid. If required for bidding, Contractors must hold an active license issued by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors in the classification of Building Construction and must show their license number on the face of the bid envelope and the Uniform Public Works Bid Form.
