Description | The Drainage Improvements project involves the repair and maintenance of existing storm water drainage facilities at multiple locations within the Town of Camden, Delaware. The construction will involve mobilization / demobilization, repair of storm water drainage inlets and grates, cleaning and flushing of sediment from storm water drainage inlets and piping, regarding of surface drainage swales and surface slopes, removal of existing storm water piping and installation of new storm water piping, placement of riprap outfall areas, miscellaneous associated curb, sidewalk, and pavement repairs, removal of existing pedestrian walkway railings and replacement with new railings and related foundations, erosion and sediment controls, and other related items. Bidders having questions regarding clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a written request to Century Engineering no later than 2:00 p.m. on October 14, 2022. Submitted questions must indicate the project name Drainage Improvements Project when submitted. Questions will be consolidated, and responses will be forwarded to all contractors no later than October 18, 2022. No further questions will be addressed on this project after that date. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and shall be marked clearly as follows: Sealed Bid Proposal for Drainage Improvements Project. Requirements for a 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond and Maintenance Bond, and Contractor s Insurance are included in the Contract Documents . Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE) will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids on this contract and are encouraged to do so. Each Bidder must deposit with their bid a security equivalent to 10% of the bid amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the instructions for bidders. The Town of Camden reserves the right to reject any or all bids and makes such award as appears most advantageous to the Town. The Town of Camden may extend the time and place for the opening of the bids from that described in the advertisement, with not less than two calendar days-notice by certified delivery, facsimile machine, e-mail, or other electronic means to those bidders who have obtained bid packets. |
