Description | Northstar / Martis Valley Water Systems Intertie Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) Project. Board of Directors of the Northstar Community Services District (NCSD) will receive sealed bid proposals for furnishing all labor, materials and services for the Northstar / Martis Valley Water Systems Intertie PRV Project. The project includes installation of a pressure reducing station and appurtenances. Work is to be performed on Mill Site Road in Truckee, CA. All work shall be in accordance with the specifications prepared by the NCSD; for the project entitled: Northstar / Martis Valley Water Systems Intertie PRV Project. The Northstar Community Services District Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Proposals, to Waive Any Informality in a Proposal, and to Make Awards as the District Deems Appropriate in Its Sole Discretion. In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California has determined the general prevailing rates of wages and employee payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, travel time, working hours and apprenticeable training requirements which must be paid to all workers on public work contracts. This is a Public Works project. (See Labor Code 1770 et seq.) These rates and requirements are on file with the Engineering Department and are incorporated herein by reference. Any contractor who is awarded a public works project and intends to use a craft or classification not shown on the general prevailing wage determinations may be required to pay the wage rate of the craft or classification most closely related to it as shown on the general determinations effective at the time of the call for bids. The wage rates for any classification not listed in the foregoing publications will be the prevailing wage for such work. All above wage rates will be subject to any recent negotiations. All bidders, and the proposed subcontractors of all bidders, are required to be currently registered and qualified to perform public work with the California Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 in order to submit an acceptable bid. An unregistered bidder may submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the bidder is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract for the Project is awarded. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a payment bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, as well as a faithful performance bond, in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. The bonds shall be on the forms included in the Contract Documents. All Bidders must have and maintain the appropriate Class Contractor's License to be considered responsive. NCSD has determined that the contractor(s) shall have a Class A license issued by the California Contractors State License Board. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, for monies earned by the Contractor and withheld by NCSD to ensure the performance of the Contract, the Contractor may, at its option, choose to substitute securities meeting the requirements of Public Contract Code Section 22300. |
