Description

The CSO Facility is located west of the intersection of Kalamazoo Street and Harrison Road on the north side of Kalamazoo Street. The work includes removal, dewatering and disposal of sediment from the existing weir and baffle structure and a short section of 10-foot diameter tunnel to allow for flow meter installation by the Owner. This project also includes mechanical, electrical and other miscellaneous improvements to an existing 5 MGD Pump Station and Retention Treatment Basin (RTB). These improvements include but are not limited to the following: • Remove, dispose and replace the pump station 16” diameter ductile iron influent piping (two influent lines El. 799’-6 and El. 803’-6”), valves and actuators located on the lower level elevation 798’-6”. • Heating and ventilation equipment removal and replacement • Remove and replacement of ventilation ductwork below elevation 825’-0” • Install new stilling well and relocate bubbler piping in the wet well • Coordinate work with Owner installed Accusonic Flow Meter in the existing 10 foot diameter tunnel upstream of the Weir & Baffle Structure • Relocate emergency wet well level float and add a new conductance probe for redundancy. • Retain services of ICS to provide SCADA and programming services per the proposal allowance • Remove and replace owner provided solenoid valves (9 total) for RTB pivoting flushing trough valves • Remove, replace and relocate the plug valve actuators and electrical junction boxes above floor elevation 823’-9” • Clean and power wash the pump station walls, ceilings and floors below elevation 825’-0”. • Scrape ceilings and walls to remove and properly dispose free scaling paint in pump station wet well • Power wash RTB gallery • Remove and replace wet well bar screens and working platform used to remove screen debris • Replace stair well doors at elevations 798’-6” and 810’-0” • Install new outdoor light pole at effluent sampling platform • Install new desktop computer and shelf to replace HMI in the Pump Station Control Panel. • Floor elevations 810’-0” and 823’-9” remove sample piping and cap with blind flange at face of wall. Also remove two existing concrete pad for pumps and fill voids in demoed area with nonshrink grout to make flush with floor • Remove two unused bubbler panels. Salvage indicated spare parts and cap piping to remain
