Description

The Work consists of the following: 1.Replace eight(8) 6” Keystone brand wheel operated globe valves at Cottonwood Cove lagoons. The new valves must be Keystone brand or equals. To be considered equal the valves must be coated with a corrosion resistant material and be NSF 61 Compliant. The replacement valves must side offset wheel operators. The new globe valves must be coated to withstand a harsh wastewater environment. Existing valves are installed with flanges inside manholes. New stainless-steel bolt kits and new gaskets must be installed at time of valve replacement. Valves must be checked for proper operation upon completion of job. The valves are located at Cottonwood Cove sewage lagoons. 2.Valve specs: Keystone globe valves with side offset wheel operators. 3.The new valve installation must be coordinated with NPS personnel. Interruptions to sewage pumping must be coordinated with NPS personnel to ensure least impact on area operations. The new valves must have the same external dimensions as the valves they are replacing to ensure proper function and fit inside of the manholes. Please see photos. 4.If other than Keystone brand valves are proposed the contractor must ensure that they will fit and operate in the exact same manner as the oem so that well established sewage lagoon SOP’s remain the same. 5.A post award meeting is required and will be attended by key NPS personnel as well as the contractor and any sub-contractors. 6.Contractor is required to submit at minimum a weekly construction progress report, plan for the next week, before and after pics that assist in documenting the construction process and progress. 7.Work also includes removal and safe disposal of the old valves and any trash created by this project.
