Description | Contractor must submit prices for ALL Divisions and Alternates (if any) for a bid to be considered complete. Scope of the project includes asphalt milling, HMA resurface and full depth replacement, aggregate roadway shoulder, pavement markings, curb and gutter, adjust/replace drainage castings, subgrade treatment, topsoil and seeding, and ADA curb ramps. The project will be constructed in eight (8) separate contract divisions, defined as follows: 1 - Oak Leaf Lane from Shadyside Road to McCool Road 2 - Old Porter Road from SR 149 to Babcock Road 3 - South Boo Road from Salt Creek Road to Carol Street 4 - Chesterfield Ave from South Boo Road to Harbor Way 5 - Harbor Way from South End to Chesterfield Ave 6 - Sherman Ave from Burns Blvd to Harbor Way 7 - Castle Street from Haglund Road to North End 8 - Navajo Trail from SR 149 to West End The award of any Contract may be made on the Base Bid of all Divisions only, Base Bid of any combination of Divisions, or any combination of the Base Bids of any individual Divisions and selected Alternate Bids. All bids must be submitted on the bid forms as identified in the Contract Documents, Specifications and Plans /Drawings. Each bid shall have an additional, printed copy and be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond made payable to the OWNER, in a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The surety company must be qualified, incorporated, and in good standing. Proposals shall be properly and completely executed on Indiana Form 96, included in the Specifications. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, waive all informalities, or irregularities in bidding and to re-advertise. All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the Project shall apply to the Project throughout. Each Bidder is responsible for inspecting the Project site and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the Contract Documents, Specifications and Drawings. The Bidder is required to submit a complete Bid Package. The failure or omission of any Bidder to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any Bidder from any obligation in respect to its Bid. |
