| Description | Contractor shall provide semi-annual (every six months) elevator inspections of the electric elevators at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, MI 48201. Elevator inspections shall be performed in the months of February and August. The purpose of the semi-annual inspections is to ensure that elevator repairs performed by contracted elevator repair service professionals are being done properly, and in accordance with federal regulations. The elevator inspections consist of (4) traction service elevators, (10) traction passenger elevators, (4) parking deck hydraulic passenger elevators, (1) hydraulic freight elevator, and (2) traction cart lifts. There are 6 elevator machine rooms to accommodate those elevators. |
