Landscape Architectural Engineering Services for North Mecklenburg Park Greenway Project

The Project consists of the planning, design, and construction for approximately 0.6 mile of paved greenway running through North Mecklenburg Park. A key component of the development of this project will be the identification of an alignment taking into consideration access to the park amenities, the existing mountain bike trial, which will cross over the greenway in 2 locations, as well as outreach to landowners along the route. This identification is crucial in building voluntary commitment from landowners and public support for this critical link as well as for the planning and design for construction. The project includes promoting the benefits of the trail for recreation and creating connections to the park to surrounding neighborhoods. Public input will be key in the planning process of this project. The trail corridor will link NC 73 to the Harvest Point subdivision at Amber Field Drive and The Hamptons subdivision via the mountain bike/hiking trail. This segment will extend the north/south link between downtown Huntersville and NC 73, which will eventually have a sidepath as part of the NC 73 road project.
