Description | The purpose of this document is to provide interested parties with information to enable them to prepare and submit a proposal according to the specifications set forth within this document. The County intends to use the results of this process to award a contract or issue of purchase order for the product(s) and or services(s) stated: Fundraising Consultant Services. The Dane County Purchasing Division is the sole point of contact for questions and issues that may arise during the RFP process. Henry Vilas Zoo is 28 acres in the city of Madison, Wisconsin and owned by Dane County. The county is responsible for all zoo operations and services including maintaining and/or exceeding the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) accreditation. AZA accreditation is considered the gold standard in animal welfare and less than 10% of class C exhibitors achieve this accreditation. Henry Vilas Zoo was first accredited in 1976. Every year standards are revised and improved resulting in continuous improvement in animal welfare and exhibition. The last major animal exhibit was built in 2015, the award winning, Arctic Passage housing polar bears, brown bears and harbor seals. The zoo has identified in its masterplan the next area of renovation to be the giraffe and rhino areas starting with giraffe. Question Submission Deadline: July 24, 2023, 4:00pm Question Response Deadline: July 31, 2023, 4:00pm Anticipated Term: Up to a maximum of 5 - 1 year terms. If applicable, any optional or renewal terms are not automatic extensions. Renewal terms must be agreed upon mutually by Dane County and Contractor. Anticipated Contract Terms Term 1: September 1, 2023 - August 31, 2024 Term 2: September 1, 2024 - August 31, 2025 Term 3: September 1, 2025 - August 31, 2026 Term 4: September 1, 2026 - August 31, 2027 Term 5: September 1, 2027 - August 31, 2028 The County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to negotiate the terms of the contract, including the award amount, with the selected proposer prior to entering into a contract. If contract negotiations cannot be concluded successfully with the highest scoring proposer, the County may negotiate a contract with the next highest scoring proposer. |
