Description | Responsibilities of the Plumbing contractor include the complete plumbing system of the affected bathrooms in the building, including but not limited to: 1. Shop Drawings for all plumbing fixtures 2. Materials and installation for all new water and sewer piping (Lieutenant’s Bathroom) 3. Plumbing contractor must check the condition of the existing water piping and repair/replace if necessary. 4. Plumbing contractor must replace all shut off valves and angle stops 5. Plumbing contractor must check (TV) the existing sewer lines to verify if they can remain and be re-used. Any replacement of existing underground sewer lines will be at an extra cost to the city (see proposal) 6. Supply and install all plumbing fixtures as per plumbing schedule 7. Supply and install all escutcheon plates, clean out and valve covers 8. Plumbing contractor must extend and connect the water and sewer piping to the point of connection as noted on the plans 9. Sanitary connection will be to an existing sewer line as shown on the plans (NW corner of building). 10. Plumbing contractor must extend the Hot and Cold water lines to the new Lieutenant’s bathroom from the existing rescue bathroom through the acoustical ceiling. 11. Potable water pipes cannot be CPVC, they must be copper. 12. Concrete cutting and removal as required for new water and sewer lines and shower depression. 13. Plumbing contractor must provide and install shower pans. 14. Any cutting and patching as related to the plumbing work. 15. All excavation and backfilling for underground lines 16. All equipment necessary to deliver and install plumbing fixtures and any component of the plumbing system 17. All access panels required to maintain accessibility to shut off valves/equipment. 18. Clean up and debris removal 19. Safety equipment and practices as specified by OSHA Regulations 20. Call for underground locations before any digging 21. Test all equipment for proper operation 22. Supply manuals and warrantees for all fixtures and equipment |
