Description | This project is Phase Two of New York's first ever comprehensive pedestrian safety action plan. This five-year, multi-agency initiative provides New York State Department of Transportations' Region One (Albany, Essex, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren, and Washington Counties) with $3.2 million to improve safety for pedestrians through infrastructure improvements, public education efforts, and increased law enforcement efforts. The New York State Department of Health and the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee are partners with NYSDOT in this initiative. |
