Description

The project consists of installing new electrical and plumbing utilities at Westside Pump Station to provide the required electrical power and water needed for an upcoming chemical dosing system. The major features of the Work include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Install new NEMA 4X disconnect switches and new GFCI receptacle. 2. Install new electrical conduits from existing electrical building to new disconnect switches. Installation includes above-ground and shallow bury of electrical conduit and providing conduit support where required. Perform electrical tie-ins to spare breakers and disconnect switches and required electrical testing. Pavement restoration. 3. Install new potable water piping and fittings from connection source to eyewash/shower station area. Installation includes above-ground and shallow bury of water piping, providing pipe support, new reduced pressure backflow assembly, testing, disinfection, and pavement restoration. California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) Registration and Prevailing Rate of Wages: Bidders shall comply with the registration requirements of Labor Code section 1725.5. Pursuant to Labor Code section 1771.4, the Work is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. Bidders are hereby notified that, pursuant to provisions of the Labor Code of the State of California, the Board of Directors of the Orange County Sanitation District adopted the prevailing rate of per diem wages, as determined by the Director of Industrial Relations, applicable to the Work to be done for the locality in which the Work is to be performed, in compliance with section 1773 of the Labor Code of the State of California, and it is on file in the Engineering Office located at Plant No. 1 of the Orange County Sanitation District.
