Old Rowan County Jail

The Rowan County Historical Society will be accepting bids for several projects to be completed inside the Old Rowan County Jail located behind the Rowan County Arts Center. Projects range from repairing holes in walls and ceilings to painting all walls, ceilings, and floors to cleaning rust from nine (9) doors, to removing five (5) doors to replacing four (4) exterior doors to replacing five (5) windows to removing stone and cinder blocks from two (2) windows to purchasing and installing kitchen cabinets with sink and countertops. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to commence prior to March 2023.
