Description

Scope of Work: The Work required for this Project includes: Replace damaged concrete rail crossings across three (3) tracks m the North Intermodal Rail Yard. Demolish existing concrete panels and asphalt paving. Remove existing track rails. Rebuild crossing with cast-in-place concrete. Replace rail tracks to match existing profile. Bid Estimate: Estimated cost range is $430,000 to $477,000, plus Washington State Sales Tax (WSST). In accordance with RCW 39.04.320, fifteen (15) percent apprenticeship participation is required for certain projects estimated to cost one million ($1,000,000) dollars or more. Attendees will be required to sign a Release and Acceptance of Responsibility and Acknowledgement of Risks Form prior to entering the site and shall provide their own Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required above. Bid Security: Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid security in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Base Bid in a for m allowed by the Instructions to Bidders. Questions will not be accepted after seven (7) days prior to the Bid Date. The Contractor shall achieve all interim milestones as set forth in the Contract Documents and Substantial Completion of the entire Work not later than 90 calendar days from execution of the Contract, subject to adjustments of this Contract Time as provided in the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall achieve Final Completion of the entire Work within 30 calendar days of the date on which Substantial Completion is achieved. The liquidated damages for failure to achieve Substantial Completion by the required date shall be $300 per calendar day. After the required Final Completion date, the liquidated damages for failure toachieve Final Completion shall be $100 per calendar day.
