Description

The work covered under this contract will be performed at the existing Napili WWPS No. 3. Work will include furnishing of labor, materials, supplies and equipment required for demolition and removal of pumps, piping and appurtenances; abandonment of the existing dry well; modifications to the existing wetwell; installation of wet pit submersible pumps, piping and appurtenances; electrical modifications; replacement of existing diesel emergency generator, and sewage bypassing during construction; and supporting sitework. The work covered under this contract will be performed at and adjacent to the existing Napili WWPS No. 3. This project is a State Revolving Fund (SRF) funded project All projects funded with SRF federal or state-match funds must comply with all federal regulations listed as applicable Cross-cutter regulations which have been determined as applying to the SRF loan program Percentage (%) of the total cost of the project which will be financed with SRF money - 100% Dollar amount of SRF funds for the project - $4,000,000. Percentage (%) and dollar amount of the total costs of the project that will be financed by non-governmental sources - 0%. Bidders are required to comply with newest procurement code, HRS, Chapter 103-D, any rules and regulations and policy directives issued with respect to Chapter 103-D and any amendments thereof. Bidders shall be licensed in accordance with Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of contractors. The Contractor and his Subcontractor(s), if any shall comply with all applicable revisions of the prevailing wage rate schedule as required under Chapter 104, H.R.S No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by one of the following forms of bidders security: cash, a cashiers check, or a certified check on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a bidders bond executed by an approved surety insurer, made payable to the Director of Finance in the manner, form, and amount required by Section 103D-323 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. The proposal guaranty shall be equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid submitted Bidders must correctly prepare and submit the documents listed in Section 00300, Bid Proposal. 1. Construction of pump improvements, including three new submersible pumps in a modified existing wetwell and new discharge piping, valves and appurtenances. A new engine-driven backup pump in a weatherproof and sound attenuated enclosure will also be installed. 2. Abandonment of existing drywell, and removal of existing pumps, piping, valves and appurtenances. Remove existing fuel storage tank. 3. Electrical modifications and upgrade work, including new pump motor starters & controls, emergency generator with integral fuel tank, manual transfer switch (MTS), and automatic transfer switch (ATS). 4. Structural, architectural and mechanical repairs and upgrades to the existing building, including roofing replacement, interior/exterior painting; new doors; and split air conditioning unit. 5.
