Runway 4-22 Rehabilitation at Olean Airport

Project description: This project generally includes the rehabilitation of approximately 503,000 SF of runway and taxiway pavement. The project will include depth and profile milling of the existing pavement, partial depth repairs, and preparation of joints and cracks. The rehabilitation will then see the placement of an asphalt leveling course and 2-inch overlay. Also included is saw-cut grooving the runway surface and some minor turf grading/restoration. The project also includes both temporary and permanent pavement markings. 1. This project utilizes the FAA’s asphalt mix, Item P-401. 2. 3D Model Files will be provided to the successful bidder after award for the existing, finished and other applicable design models along with the survey control data in electronic format. 3. Prospective bidders are directed to Section 200 of the General Provisions which modifies other sections of the General Provisions. 4. A Spoil location for millings is located on airport property off of Yankee Rd. 5. This project utilizes the FAA’s soil aggregate base course mix, Item P-217, for the turf runway 16-34.
