Please refer to the sheets entitled Instructions to Bidders contained in the Proposal. Contractors must be pre-qualified with NCDOT as Bidder or PO Prime Contractor prior to bidding on this project. Contractor's License: a General Contractor's License is Required in Order to Submit a Bid on Any Non-federal Aid Project Where the Bid is $30,000.00 or More, Except for Certain Specialty Work as Determined by the Licensing Board. On Federal Projects, the Appropriate Contractors License Shall Be Obtained Within 60 Days of Bid Opening. The date of availability for this project is June 1, 2023. The date of completion for this project is April 15, 2025. A Bid Bond or Bid Deposit in the Amount of 5% of the Total Amount Bid Will Be Required. The Bidder Shall Submit an Electronic Bid Bond With Each Electronic Bid Submittal Unless He Elects to Furnish a Bid Deposit Within 14 Calendar Days After Notice of Award is Received, the Successful Bidder Shall Submit a Fully Executed Execution of Contract, Noncollusion Certification, Debarment Certification and Gift Ban Certification Signature Sheet. The North Carolina Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights of 1964 (78 Stat.252) and the Regulations of the Department of Transportation (49 C.F.R., Part 21), issued pursuant to such act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this notice will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, color, or national origin.
