Sewer Main Replacement

The project includes: Removal of 1,400 linear feet (LF) of existing eight-inch (8”) sewer main and six (6) existing manholes. Provide bypass system to divert existing sewage flow around work area as necessary. Average daily existing sewage flow is 270,000 GPD. Install six (6) new pre-cast manholes with watertight frames. Install 1,400 LF of twelve-inch (12”) PVC (SDR 26) sewer main. Furnish, install, maintain, and remove temporary erosion and sediment control measures per approved Erosion and Sediment Control Plan. Restore existing lawn, fencing, concrete sidewalk, gravel area, paved driveway, and gravel driveway areas disturbed by the construction. The construction involves installing pipe through a section of wetlands in compliance with the General Permit. The contractor will be required to sign an “Acknowledgement and Agreement for compliance with Terms & Conditions of PASPGP-5” prior to the start of construction. Due to the presence of a threatened and endangered species, work must be 3 completed before April 30, 2021 to comply with permit requirements.
