Description | 1. Apply for all necessary permits from the Town of Hingham. 2. Establish the regulated work area, plasticize the floor and critical barriers 3. Provide HEPA filtration units to continuously scrub interior air during the remediation work. 4. Demolition and remediation to include the living space in the east wing of the station (3 bunkrooms, hallway, watch office, restroom). 5. Demolition work to include removal and disposal of approximately 1,050 sq/ft of 2’x2’ suspended ceiling tiles and metal track, including wall mounted track. 6. Remove and dispose of 1,050 sq/ft of mold covered 12” spline ceiling tiles located above the suspended ceiling. Wood strapping to be left in place to temporarily hang electrical components 7. Remove and dispose of fiberglass batt insulation between the wood joists under the roof deck. 8. Remove and dispose of 8” flexible A/C duct and clean diffusors. 9. Once the area is clean and inspected to the Fire Department’s approval, work can begin on replacement of the demolished materials. 10. Install new R-30 faced fiberglass batt insulation between the roof joists 11. Install new Armstrong #219 Cortega 2’x2’ ceiling tile on a 9/16” Suprafine LX grid system with standard 1” wall angle. 12. Install new 8” flexible A/C duct with the cleaned diffusers. 13. Once the grid is installed, the electrician will finish the lighting installation before the ceiling tiles are installed 14. Following bulk removal work, an EPA registered biocide will be applied to disinfect the remediated areas 15. A microbial inhibitor will be applied to the remaining exposed materials. 16. Waste removed from the work area will be placed in leak tight containers, prepared for transport, and transported for proper disposal. |
