Description | Contract(s): Separate Bids will be received for: Contract No. 1 – General Construction Work (C009) Contract No. 2 – Structural & Miscellaneous Steel Work (C029) Contract No. 3 – HVACR Work (C032) Contract No. 4 – Plumbing Work (C030) Contract No. 5 – Electrical Work (C047) Contract No. 6 – Combined Single Overall Contract comprising Contracts 1 though 5 Project Description: The Project involves one addition to the existing buildings, which will house a Child Development Classroom with self-contained Toilet Room and a Vocal Music Room with Storage, Office and Practice Rooms. The Addition is approximately 5500 square feet. Other project scope areas include: Renovating existing Chemistry Classroom with new casework and equipment. Altering existing Business Office, Facilities Office and Publishing Office to become new Guidance Offices. Altering existing West Cafeteria to add two Serving Kiosks as well as replacing existing counter shutters at the existing serving line. Altering existing Graphics Lab into two Classrooms. Altering existing Floral Classroom into a Large Group Instruction Room with folding partition. Altering portion of the existing Library into four Classrooms, Publishing Office and Corridor. (See also Alternate Bid #2 Work.) Altering three existing Classrooms into Biology and Floral Classrooms. Altering three existing Classrooms into Graphics Classroom and Applied Tech. Alterations to existing building at the connections of the new addition and indicated renovations and shall include Environmental / hazardous material abatement work. All plumbing, mechanical and electrical system Work as indicated on the MEP drawings. Fire safing of any penetration(s) or modification(s) made to fire rated walls or other assemblies. All indicated casework and equipment. All other indicated work. The following scope items will be under Alternate Bids: Alternate Bid #1 – Altering the existing Faculty Dining Room (East Building) into two Toilet Rooms. Alternate Bid #2 – Altering the remainder of the existing Library into Offices for the Board of Education, Superintendent, Business Administrator and Facilities Department. Alternate Bid #3 - Altering and expanding the existing Theater Arts Classroom with new Storage and Practice and Dressing Rooms. Alternate Bid #4 – Altering two existing Classrooms into Biology Classroom and Prep Room. Alternate Bid #5 - Replacement and Upgrade of selected casework including sinks in two Physics Classrooms. Alternate Bid #6 – Replacement of indicated HVAC Equipment at existing West Main Office. Alternate Bid #7 - Replacement of indicated HVAC Equipment at existing East Main Office and Nurse. Alternate Bid #8 - Replacement of indicated HVAC Equipment at existing East Gymnasium and Locker Rooms. Alternate Bid #9 – Construction of new World Language Classroom and JROTC Room. The Project will have five Prime Contractors: General, Structural, Plumbing, HVACR and Electrical. |
