Description

As of September 29, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. San Bernardino Community College District, hereinafter referred to as "District", is calling for and will receive sealed Proposals for the award of a contract for the "Construction Services for Renovation at 560 E Hospitality Ln, Suite 400, NIB 03-2223-01" Proposals will be accepted up to but not later than, the time stated in Section 1.3 below. License Required: California Contract License B. Construction Services for Renovation at 560 E Hospitality Ln, Suite 400, San Bernardino, CA 92408. This scope includes but not limited to the renovation works to an existing building to accommodate new layout. The suite will require the removal of a demising wall. The demolition contactor is responsible for pulling the demolition permit with the city to include all plans and permit fees, following all guidelines for asbestos testing, and filling any notices with AQMD if applicable. There are two tenant supplied power poles that need to be installed in the expansion suite. The electrical work is design build, and the contactor is responsible for pulling the electrical permit, submitting plans and paying permit fees. Install new flooring, new paint, install 2' sidelights on 3 existing doors, include cutting drywall and framing, each new sidelight should include glass film. The scope or work along with the building rules and regulations are shown on Exhibits D & E. This is phased night or weekend work to be determined after project is awarded in conjunction with the tenant. Moving furniture and providing boxes to the tenant for moving is included. Inquiries regarding the Project are to be directed to personnel listed below. All Bid documentation questions, concerns, and clarification requests shall be in writing and submitted via email or through online. All inquiries via writing shall be clearly identified as Renovation at 560 E Hospitality Ln, Suite 400, NIB 03-2223-01 All telephonic inquiries will be documented in writing. No Requests for Information will be accepted after 5:00 p.m. PDT on August 02, 2022. The District's Board of Trustees has delegated authority to the District's Executive Vice Chancellor for Fiscal Services to execute change orders, partial change orders, Construction Directives, and compromises, which may increase and/or decrease the Contract Price and/or may increase and/or decrease the Contract Time for this Project. As such, the Executive Vice Chancellor signature on a change order, partial change order, Construction Directive, and/or compromise is sufficient to bind the DISTRICT provided that the increased and/or decreased costs of individual changes do not exceed five percent (5%) of the original contract price Each bidder's bid must be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security: (1) cash; (2) a cashier's check made payable to the DISTRICT; (3) a certified check made payable to the District; or (4) a bidder's bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, made payable to the District in the form set forth in the contract documents. Such bidder's security must be in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of bid as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract, if the same is awarded to such bidder, and will provide the required Performance and Payment Bonds and insurance certificates. In the event of failure to enter into said contract or provide the necessary documents, said security will be forfeited. Separate payment and performance bonds, each in an amount equal to 100 % of the total contract amount are required, and shall be provided to the District prior to execution of the contract and shall be in the form set forth in the contract documents. All bonds (Bid, Performance, and Payment) must be issued by a California admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120.
