Description | The selected Manager will understand the functions of the Campus, Fund, Design-Builder, and others with respect to each other and the Project. It will understand the contractual relationship and corresponding levels of authority inherent in the project team and conduct all activities accordingly. The Manager is expected to collaborate with the Design-Builder, monitor the work of the Design-Builder and its Subconsultants/Subcontractors, and coordinate with the Campus as the ultimate user of the facility. The Project is for the design-build construction of a new academic building that will include 50,000 net square feet for lecture halls, classrooms, an Information Commons, offices and spaces for Course Building & Academic Space Management, Educational Communications Center, and related building services and sitework. The new lecture hall building will provide additional modern learning spaces with telecommunications, information and educational technologies and support the State of New York and the University's energy conservation and carbon reduction goals. CMs interested in submitting qualifications for this opportunity will be responsible for providing construction management and commissioning services for the Project. Construction management services include monitoring performance of design-build services, coordinating services to optimize campus input into the design-build process, confirming that performance requirements are being met, providing construction phase special inspections, testing, and project monitoring, monitoring adherence to schedule, and confirming reasonableness of GMP and Open Book pricing. The CM will also be responsible for providing commissioning services as required by Directive 1B-6 Commissioning, that are applicable to the Project Questions regarding this opportunity should be emailed to SUCF.ConsultantProcurement@suny.edu.
