Plans call for the redevelopment of a vacant conference center with the new construction of a brewery. Further scope has not been released. As of August 4, 2022, this project is scheduled to go before the City of West Haven Planning & Zoning Commission on August 9, 2022. An architect has been selected; however, a general contractor or selection method has not been disclosed. As a Request for Proposals (RFP) this is not an invitation to bid and, although price is very important, other factors will be taken into consideration. It should be noted that the City of West Haven is looking for proposals that increase foot traffic between Labor Day and Memorial Day above and beyond the normal assumed traffic for that location during warm weather conditions.
