RFQ - General Contractor Services for Projects Less Than $280,000.00

This document shall serve to provide interested parties with specific information as to the Procedures for Selection of General Contractor Firm(s). per Florida Statute 1013.45 Educational Facilities Contracting and Construction Techniques, (1) Boards may employ procedures to contract for construction of new facilities, or for additions, remodeling, renovation, maintenance, or repairs to existing facilities, that will include, but not be limited to: (e) Day-labor contracts not exceeding $280,000 for construction, renovation, remodeling, or maintenance of existing facilities. It is the primary intent of this RFQ, that for projects equal to or less than $280,000.00, the Owner's Project Representative will send a Project Work Request Form to all the awarded firms, and the project will be awarded to the firm with the lowest, most responsive, and responsible written proposal. Owner hereby retains General Contractor pursuant to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) #SDOC-23-Q-054-CH-FPC to perform the services described herein on an "as needed" basis, as designated, authorized, and assigned by Owner, and Owner agrees to compensate General Contractor for such services in accordance with this Agreement. In determining whether a firm is qualified, the School District of Osceola County, Florida shall consider such factors as supporting office location(s), experience and past performance, proposed project staff and functions, project approach, workload, scheduling methodology, and references.
