Description | This project is located south of Jackson Street on the eastern portion of the Jackson Middle School property extending south/southeast to the Village's storage basin just north of Highridge Road. The total project area is approximately 6 acres and is located within the Village of Villa Park, Illinois. Immediately thereafter, the proposals will be opened and read aloud via Zoom. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Village reserves the right to defer, postpone, delay, or reschedule the Bid Opening for such time and to such date as the Village, in its sole discretion, determines is in the best interest of the Village. The Jackson Pond Expansion Project consists of the expansion of the existing Jackson Pond and improvements to the drainage system into and out of Jackson Pond. The project includes earthwork associated with the existing basin expansion, the installation of new large diameter storm sewer from Jackson Street to the Jackson Pond, and modifications to the Jackson Pond piped outlet and overflow swale. The work entails significant excavation and fine grading, placement of topsoil and seed and blanket, and the installation of native vegetation in the bottom of Jackson Pond. The project includes the construction of new storm sewer that discharges from Jackson Street to Jackson Pond, along with associated flared end sections, grates, culverts, underdrains, manholes, catch basins, inlets, and headwalls; restoration of existing asphalt and concrete pavements and sidewalks disturbed by construction; construction layout; traffic control and protection; and other necessary related and incidental work.
