Description

Design-Builder to design and build/upgrade the W Street NE Field Office Facility. This includes design and construction/installation of a new prefab modular structure office building to replace the currentseven trailer units to provide offices and supportspaces for employees of the Department of Transportation (“DDOT”). The major goals for this project are to upgrade and improve the functions of the programmed and service spaces, revitalize areas that may be better utilized and enhance the operational function of the site. The new two-story prefab building will be 10,000 SF of usable space (excluding ramps and stairs) and will include, but is not limited to, adequate space for open plan office space, private offices, conference/training rooms, office/strategy rooms, furniture, fixtures, and equipment ("FF&E"), bathrooms/locker rooms as well as administrative space allowing for efficient processing of employees during shift changes, special events, weather emergency deployments or District emergencies.
