Lima Wide Area Network and Primary DIA RFP 2023

The City of Lima, Ohio (City) is located in the northwest corner of the state of Ohio and is the county seat of Allen County. The municipality is located along Interstate 75 approximately 72 miles north of Dayton and 78 miles south-southwest of Toledo. The City has 10 physical locations including Fire, Police, Utilities, Public Works, and Municipal Departments connected via a WAN. All departments share a common Wide Area Network (WAN) and Internet Services from Spectrum/Charter. The City desires services from qualified vendors to upgrade or replace the current services. The key project objectives include: Increase useable bandwidth to remote sites Increase useable bandwidth for Internet access Improve bandwidth service for Self-Hosted Voice Services between sites Reduce monthly operating costs Proposals signed by the authorized officials of the institution will be received . Under no circumstances will proposals be accepted after deadline. Materially incomplete proposals may result in the rejection of the entire proposal; however, minor irregularities and technicalities may be waived. The City reserves the right to contact respondents at its discretion for further clarification or questions concerning the bid proposals. A variety of factors will be considered by the City in determining the successful Potential Service Provider. The City expects the potential Service Provider to submit the overall proposal at a fair and reasonable price consistent with the goals and objectives of the City. Thus, while Service Providers are strongly encouraged to offer the lowest price and total cost and highest value possible, the Service Provider offering the lowest price and total cost may not be selected as the successful Service Provider. It is the intent of the evaluation process established by the City of Lima to determine whether each Proposal meets the needs of the City, as outlined in the RFP, and then to determine which proposal best suits those needs. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. The City reserves the right to award the contracts on a per line item basis to multiple Service Providers.
