Description | There will be a non-refundable fee for submitting a bid The proposed construction consists of replacement of three (3) raw sewage pumps at the Village of Plainfield's James Street Pump Station and general HVAC, structural, electrical, and mechanical improvements to the station, and other miscellaneous items of work. A free copy of the Construction Contractor's Qualifications Statement for Engineered Construction, may be obtained by contacting Mark Gockowski from Baxter & Woodman, Inc., Consulting Engineers at 815.444.4960 or mgockowski@baxterwoodman.com Bids will not be accepted from any prospective bidder who has not received pre-qualification and/or not purchased contract documents Please contact the Village of Plainfield (815) 436-3577 (Scott Threewitt) for additional information. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract. The Village of Plainfield is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to the Village of Plainfield for five percent (5 %) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions. Rejection of Bids. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities. Unless the Bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder. |
