Replace / Upgrade Laundry & Water Heater

Remove and replace existing propane hot water heaters and replace with new propane hot water heaters in buildings A, B, C, D, & E. Replace Building E student laundry equipment. AO Smith Model BTH-199-301, Brand Name or Equal, Propane Gas Type (Quantity 5). This model is currently used in other applications at HOAL. Hot water heater will be commercial grade 100-gallon capacity and deliver thermal efficiency of 95%. Hot water heater will have Intelligent Control System with Touch Screen Display. Hot water heater will have a submerged combustion chamber with helical heat exchanger coil that is positioned in the center of the tank, and direct spark ignition. The hot water heater will have permaglass ultra coat glass lining. The exhaust will vent vertically. By using this model, it will keep parts inventory to a minimal stock. Replace existing vent pipe and replace with 4-inch PVC pipe. Each of the building’s boilers will have to be partially disassembled and reassembled to be able to access/change out the hot water heaters. The old water heaters being removed will be disposed of by the contractor.
