Description

The work consists of replacing approximately 8,500 linear feet of 8-inch cast iron water main in East Main Street and West Main Street with new 12-inch ductile iron water main. Work will also include installation of new hydrants, new services to property lines, and roadway restoration. The work also includes three bid alternates. Bid Alternate No. 1 includes replacing 2,400 linear feet of existing 8-inch ductile iron and cast iron water main with 8-inch and 12-inch ductile iron water main in West Main Street, Bid Alternate No. 2 includes replacing approximately 3,600 linear feet of existing 6-inch cast iron water main in West Main Street with new 8-inch ductile iron water main, and Bid Alternate No. 3 includes cleaning and cement lining approximately 200 linear feet of existing 8-inch cast iron pipe in East Main Street.
