Description

The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control necessary to control the existing insect species. The company shall provide an Applicator License. All personnel that will be applying Pesticide shall have either a State of Michigan or a Department of Defense Pesticide Applicators Certification, of which a copy shall be provided to the 127th Pest Management Government Point of Contact (POC). The application of Pesticides shall be applied in a manner that provides the most effective control to the insects in the application area. Applications shall be performed to minimize the effects to other non-target species in the area. Talstar P, at a rate of 0.5 fluid ounces per 1,000 square feet is the preferred pesticide for use. Commercial standards indicate that an 85% or higher mortality rate is indication of proper application to support Selfridge Air National Guard Base (ANGB). The Government is seeking pesticide application services on approximately 700 acres, two 350 acre treatments that surround the airfield to support aircraft and flying safety, the area is maintained at 7-14 inches see attached map of the airfield.
