Description | The work under the project includes, but is not limited to, the installation of a new treatment facility along with improvements to the existing well treatment facility (Well 21-R), complete, inclusive of all components as depicted herein the Construction Documents. The scope of work consists of all structural, mechanical, electrical, and related utility appurtenances. The treatment facility comprises all well process piping appurtenances (including the pitless well adapter, bag filtration devices, ultraviolet advanced oxidation process equipment [UV Reactors], and granular activated carbon equipment), yard piping improvements, site improvements, electrical improvements (including generator), natural gas service improvements, sewer/storm improvements, and related appurtenances. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, supervision, trade skills, materials, and equipment required for this project as described in the Construction Documents. The Contract will allow 365 consecutive calendar days for substantial completion and 425 consecutive calendar days for Final Completion of the work from the notice to proceed. A certified check or cashiers check made payable to the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, or a duly executed bid bond in the amount of 10% of each bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00, must be deposited by the bidder together with a Certificate of Surety evidencing that he can obtain the required Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the contract. The successful Bidder will be required to deliver to the Owner an executed Performance Bond of a responsible indemnity company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. In lieu of a Certificate of Surety, the bidder may submit, at the bid opening, a certified check or cashiers check in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid proposals must be placed in sealed envelopes addressed to the Office of Purchasing, Township of Parsippany Troy Hills, 1001 Parsippany Boulevard, Parsippany, New Jersey 07054 and marked plainly on the outside with the bid description and the name and address of the bidder marked clearly on the outside of the envelope. The Township of Parsippany Troy Hills reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in the proposal received and to accept the bid of the lowest responsible bidder as required by N.J.S.A. 40A-11-4. The Township further reserves the right to consider all bids for sixty (60) days after the bid opening before awarding a contract. |
