Description

Reconstruction of six tennis courts at Lions Park. Open fence. Remove two lines posts for 30ft. wide equipment access. --Remove all net posts and related footings, including tie-down anchors. Backfill footing holes with crushed aggregate. Compact thoroughly. --Saw-cut expansion joints and remove rubber crack sealant, prior to pulverizing. --Pulverize entire surface inside fence perimeters, approx.1ft. --Thoroughly mix with base aggregate, corners not accessible with machine will be removed by loader. --Fine grade entire area inside fence perimeters. Slope will be approx. 12"south to north and 3" west to east. This will be laser graded and compacted. Proof-roll with loader truck and check for unstable areas. --Asphalt pave 3 " in 2 lifts. Binder course to be a 12.5 mm. 2" average thickness and surface to be 1 1/2" average thickness, 9.5 mm with no shingles. Includes tack coat between lifts. Asphalt surface to be approx. 2"-3" inside fence fabric, as paver will allow. New surface elevation will be approx. 4" higher than current elevation. No work will be done to fence perimeters, except closing the open section for equipment access. D.P.W is aware of fence maintenance issues and will address them themselves. Gates will need adjustment to higher surface elevations. --Install 6 pair of new Douglas SX Premier net posts, in sleeved concrete footings, 18" X 60" flush with surface. Posts to have internal wind with removable cranks. Also include 6 center tie-down anchors in concrete footings, 12" X 24". --Set two 3" diameter line posts, where equipment access opening exists. Close fence, top rail, hardware, as before. --Saw-cut expansion joints between each court and at fence line, approx. 900LF. --Install 3 coats Plexipave, 100% acrylic color coat system. This includes one coat of black acrylic resurfacer with sand. Then apply 2 coats of Blue and Green Plexipave; Standard Color Choices. Each coat to be cross-applied. Add sand for medium ball speed. --Layout and install white masked play lines. --Add pickleball lines on two courts
