Description | St. James Fire District, in Town of Smithtown, New York, is soliciting bids for a generator and electrical upgrade at Station 1, located at 533 North Country Road, St. James, New York 11780 If any person contemplating submitting a bid for the proposed contract is in doubt as to the true meaning of specifications or other issues, he may submit to the St. James Fire District a written request for interpretation or correction thereof. Requests to be given consideration must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the Bid Date. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery. Any interpretation of the proposed document will be made by Addendum only, duly issued, and a copy will be mailed or delivered to each person receiving a set of documents not later than 48 hours prior to Bid Date. St. James Fire District will not be responsible for any other explanation or interpretation of the proposed document. All interested parties should provide a quote, in writing, which meets the above specifications, and shall include the following: Date of installation: Date of completion: Warranty on parts: Warranty on labor: Any deviations from above Proposals must be held fi for no less than 60 days. Interested parties may spect the premises if they ha e any questions which will affe' their proposals. Bankruptcy, Late Fee and Cancellations: The Fire District hereby r serves the right to terminat any agreement should the endor declare bankruptcy, ano such right shall be deemed eluded and incorporated to any signed agreement. ASSESSMENTS AN]) T S: The sales and compensat g use taxes of the State of Ne York and of cities and counties do not apply to purchases and sales of materials and supplies pursuant to the provisions of this contract. These taxes are NOT to be included in bids. This e eption does not, however, a ly to tools, machinery, equip nt, or other property leased by to the contractor, or a subcontractor or to materials and supplies of a kind which will not be incorporated into the completed project. PREVAILING WAGE: The successful bidder shall ensure that the provisions of the 'labor law with respect to prevailing wage, are at all times coMplied with.
