Description | For period of January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2021. (1) One 96 gallon (or similar) container of garbage, rubbish, and refuse and one 96 gallon (or similar size) container of recyclable materials. Contractor shall provide a garbage and recycling container of 96 gallons (or similar size) for each residence and each Borough-owned facility; (2) Up to 90 gallons of yard waste. If Contractor requires yard waste to be placed in a specific container, or has limitations on forms of yard waste that will be accepted, these requirements and limitations shall be set forth in the bid documents; (3) the option, per residence or Borough-owned facility, for collection of two 96 gallon (or similar) containers of garbage, rubbish, and refuse (for a total for of two 96 gallon trash contains and one 96 gallon recycling container to be picked up at the weekly collection); Contractor shall propose a method for billing those property owners choosing to utilize two 96 gallon trash containers, and shall provide the cost structure therefor; (4) one bulk item per residence and each Borough-owned facility, defined as large items of solid waste requiring special handling, including but not limited to, large household appliances, furniture, carpet, dehumidifiers, water heaters, air conditioners, microwaves, small amounts of residential construction debris, mattresses, gas or charcoal grills, etc. Bulky items do not include anything that would weigh less than 40 lbs., automobiles or parts and tires, yard waste, grass clippings, brush or tree trimmings, petroleum/chemical or other commercial/industrial or household waste, paint, propane tanks, E-Waste and recyclables. The contractor shall be responsible for the disposal of accepted Freon containing bulk items. | ||
