Description

Professional engineer or engineering firm to provide design engineering support services to support the City's Utility Undergrounding Project, which will include the conversion of all existing overhead electric power, cable television, internet/broadband, telecommunications, and similar or related facilities to underground facilities, see attachment for existing survey information. The facilities to be converted include those of Duke Energy, FRONTIER, and SPECTRUM. This project will be delivered as a design/bid/build. Duke Energy will be in charge of the electrical design, procurement of electrical material and new equipment installation at time of construction. The City, by means of design consultant selected via this RFQ, will perform the utility coordination and design layout, easement acquisition, FDOT permitting, construction bid set and construction bid forms, assist in the construction contract negotiation and acquisition process.
