Description

The overall improvements are intended replace the roof, one chiller and two cooling towers at the Administration Building; and replace three cooling towers at the Laboratory. In addition, the project entails the mechanical upgrades and associated electrical and structural needs required to complete this work. The primary project improvements include remove and replace the existing roof membranes with new PVC 60 mil thick membrane; replace damaged rigid insulation; remove and replace two {2) cooling towers and one {1) chiller and associated electrical and mechanical work; replace support structures for the cooling towers; reprofile the concrete under the cooling towers; replace backer rod and sealant at all windows, storefronts, louvers, and doors; repair all CMU wall deteriorating grout joints; repair all damaged stone veneer and grout; install sheet metal coping at top of cooling tower yard walls; apply elastomeric coating to back side of curved CMU entrance parapet wall and interior of cooling tower yard CMU walls; provide precast concrete pilaster caps at cooling tower yard; and provide cooling tower ground loop at the Administration Building and remove and replace three (3) cooling towers, structural supports, and associated electrical and mechanical work; and provide cooling tower ground loop at the Laboratory. The Engineer's estimate is in the $2,400,000 to $2,800,000 range. Bidders and other interested parties are invited to attend the Bid opening. Information for the Bid opening is listed under the Activities tab in NGEM. Work hours for this project have been established as Monday through Thursday from 6:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Bidders must comply with all applicable provisions of the Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 338, and those requirements imposed by Owner, including without limitation, the Instructions to Bidders (Document 00 21 13). Owner encourages all Bidders to consider utilization of local/small/minority/women-owned/and physically challenged business suppliers, service providers, consultants, and contractors in all of its projects, and hereby proclaims its continuing effort and desire that these businesses be provided the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of this Project.
