Description | The City of Hagerstown is seeking proposals from qualified firms to furnish flagpoles for Wheaton Park. The budget for acquisition of the poles is $15,000. The City's contractor will complete the installation Selection will be based on the overall value provided, the quality of the poles, and the firm's ability to meet the Owner's expectations in accordance with the following criteria: 1. Cost Proposal: Please provide proposed ITEMIZED LUMP SUM cost proposal for the complete flag pole system (including all components, hardware, incidentals, instructions, certifications, warranties) along with all shipping costs, for ofthe following: a. One (1) 30-foot pole with internal steel halyard, ground set, cone-tapered aluminum flagpole. Include pole, stainless steel winch, corrugated steel foundation sleeve, internal stainless steel halyard system, flush locking access door, flash collar, counter weight, retainer ring, revolving ball/truck assembly and two stainless steel snap hooks. Overall size is estimated at 30' X 6" X 0.188". Provide installation details. Pole must withstand a 122 MPH wind load rating with a 6' x 10' nylon flag. b. Two (2) 25-foot poles with internal steel halyard, ground set, cone-tapered aluminum flagpole. Include pole, stainless steel winch, corrugated steel foundation sleeve, internal stainless steel halyard system, flush locking access door, flash collar, counter weight, retainer ring, revolving ball/truck assembly and two stainless steel snap hooks. Overall size is estimated at 25' X 6" X 0.156". Provide installation details. Pole must withstand a 149 MPH wind load rating with a 5' x 8' nylon flag. c. Clear/natural anodization on all three poles to prevent the aluminum from oxidizing. d. Include shipping and handling to deliver to site to be determined in Hagerstown Maryland. e. The City is tax exempt 2. Equipment Quality, Durability, and Warrantee: Provide a statement of warrantee for the poles. 3. Firm Qualification and Experience: Provide information relative to the firm's related experience and qualifications. 4. Project Schedule: The City wishes to receive the poles by the end of March, 2023. Assuming a Purchase Order is issued to the successful firm by January 28, 2023, please indicate your ability to meet this schedule or provide an alternative schedule as needed to fabricate and ship the poles. 5. Made in America: Please indicate if equipment is manufactured in America (or to what extent). All questions shall be directed to Rodney Tissue, City Engineer, by no later than 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2023. The City of Hagerstown reserves the right to reject or accept any or all proposals submitted, cither in whole or in part for any reason within its absolute discretion. |
