Combined Alternates: $25,000. A single prime contract bid shall be received for all General, Site, Mechanical, Plumbing & Electrical contract work. In general, the scope of work provides for the demolition of the existing storage building and replacement with a new storage building. Work will include demolition, concrete foundations and slab, wood post/beam framing and wood trusses, pole-building insulation systems, miscellaneous interior walls and finishes, limited mechanical, electrical and plumbing work. Prevailing wage requirements apply to this project. Each proposal shall be submitted on the form(s) provided and in accordance with the instructions supplied and shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the total amount of the base bid, or a certified check, cashier's check, or acceptable letter of credit on a solvent bank in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the bid, payable to the Board of Trustees of Claridon Township, Marion County in Caledonia, Ohio. If a bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract within ten (days) following notice of acceptance of this proposal, the bidder shall pay the penal sum in accordance with RC 153.54. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date of the receipt of bids. All proposals shall be marked Bid for CLARIDON TOWNSHIP ADMINISTRATION BLDG. STORAGE BUILDING REPLACEMENT. Proposals shall contain the full name and address of each person and company interested in the work. The Bid Guaranty shall be returned to all unsuccessful bidders immediately after the Contract is executed. The Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Letter of Credit shall be returned to the successful bidder only upon execution of the Contract Bond. The Board of Trustees of Claridon Township, Marion County in Caledonia, Ohio reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in any bids, and to award the contract to the lowest and best bidder as determined by the Board of Trustees of Claridon Township, Marion County in Caledonia, Ohio.
