Amendment 0002- The purpose of this Amendment (0002) is to to provide responses to the submitted RFIs. Project Title: USDA ARS Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC) Renovation Ctr. 005, Beltsville, MD. Project Description: This project w ill consist of "gut and rebuild" renovations to modernize the building to create state of the art laboratory facilities. Building 005 is a 52,580 SF, four (4)-story building (basement/ 3 floors/ attic) laboratory/office building. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is Full and Open Competition (Unrestricted); NAICS 236220 "Commercial and Institutional Building Construction" w ith a size standard of $39,500,000.00. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Betw een $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. This is a Firm-Fixed Price Tw o (2) Phase Design-Build Construction Contract utilizing the Best Value Trade-Off Process. Contractors are requested to review requirements and instructions for a Tw o (2) Phase Design-Build selection in response to this RFP. This is Phase I of the Solicitation phase. Phase II fo the Solicitation w ill be issued as an Amendment and w ill only be available to those Offerors selected to advance from Phase I to Phase II.
