Description

The program consists of vegetation maintenance, debris removal & proper disposal, other related tasks, and/or restorative services, predominately during the warm weather growing season, on certain County-owned properties under the custodial care of the Cobb County Water System's Stormwater Management Division throughout unincorporated Cobb County. Contract duration is for twelve (12) rounds with provisions for Owner to extend the contract for two (2) twelve (12) round extensions. All qualified contractors are invited to bid on this project; however, the Owner will adjudge qualification based on the Bidder's "Statement of Qualifications" submitted with the bid. The criteria for qualification include but is not limited to: a) evidence of experience and successful performance of projects with similar scope and complexity for local governments in Georgia, b) evidence of financial and other resources to complete the work on schedule, and c) evidence of the ability to provide the required insurance and surety bonds. Qualification criteria are described in greater detail in the Instructions section of the Statement of Qualifications Packet. Only those bidders deemed qualified by the Owner will be considered for award. Each bid must be accompanied by cashier's or certified check or a bid bond prepared on accepted form, duly executed by the bidder, in the amount of five per cent (5%) of the bid. Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids, to evaluate bids, and to accept any bids which in its opinion may be for the best interest of Owner. Owner has the right to add to and delete from the contract once it has been awarded. Award, if award is made, will be to the responsive, responsible bidder. The successful bidder for this contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and labor and material payment bond, each in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the bid. No proposer may withdraw his proposal within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
