Description

As of April 12, 2023 project has not yet been awarded. The project includes the construction of the new Littleton Water Resource Recovery Facility to be located at 242 King Street with an initial capacity of 208,000 gallons per day (average daily flow), including but not limited to: site work, yard piping, equalization tank, influent pumping station, process building, including screening room, biological tanks, membrane bioreactor treatment system, and effluent pumping station The Contract Time shall be 550 Calendar Days commencing twenty days following the Effective Date of the Agreement. Questions or clarifications regarding this IFB should be submitted in writing to: johnstonkm@cdmsmith.com. Each General Bid and Sub-Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by Bid Securities in the amount of five percent of the bid. The following are the filed Sub-Bids required for this work: 1. Masonry Work 2. Miscellaneous & Ornamental Iron 3. Waterproofing, Dampproofing, and Caulking 4. Metal Windows 5. Glass & Glazing 6. Resilient Floors 7. Painting 8. Fire Protection 9. Plumbing 10. HVAC 11. Electrical The estimated project cost is $19,000,000. A bid deposit in an amount equal to 5% of the total amount of the bid will be due with the bid, in the form of a certified check, bid bond or cashier's check. The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the General Bids. A payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the total amount of the bid and a performance bond in an amount equal to 100% of the total amount of the bid will be required for the successful bidder. The surety on such bonds shall be a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and satisfactory to the Owner Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals are applicable to the total dollars paid to the construction contract. The goals for this project are a minimum of 4.20 percent D/MBE participation and 4.50 percent D/WBE participation by certified DBEs. LWD reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and minor irregularities in bids received, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the LWD to do so
