S208--Irrigation System Repair

VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System is seeking a contractor to repair a leaking 6-inch irrigation water main. Contractor is responsible for all labor and materials required. Contractor shall: - Excavate the area and expose the damaged irrigation piping. - Extend the excavation approximately 5 feet on each side of the located leak. - Expose pipe at the leak, completely. - Cut out (Abate) approximately 6 feet to 10 feet of the damaged / leaking Transite pipe. - Replace the piping section that was removed with 6-inch C900 DR18 using Romac extended range couplings to secure a good connection back to the existing 6-inch irrigation line. - Test repair for leaks with system pressure. - Backfill trench and compact soil.
