Crooked Road 20/21 Timber Sale

This sale consists of a combination of 71 acres of marked second thinning and a 98 acre clear cut of planted slash pine from Lake George State Forest in Volusia County, Florida. Timber to be harvested from the thinning area includes all trees marked with blue paint. Unmarked timber in this area is not to be harvested or damaged. Timber to be removed from the clear-cut area includes all slash pine trees within the designated boundaries. Boundary trees marked with white paint are not to be harvested. Logging decks and skid trails must be approved by the Forester-in-charge. Sale boundaries are roads, state forest boundaries, wetlands, red painted lines, or obvious timber type changes. The estimated volume to be removed is 2,230 tons of pulpwood, 2,749 tons of chip and saw and 1,996 tons of saw timber. This will be a twelve (12) month contract.
