Description | Clean Small Arms Firing Range: Contractor shall achieve removal, cleaning and analysis to effectively identify all waste streams, proper containerization, proper labelling, marking, manifesting, transportation and disposal of lead particulates, smokeless gun power, and other miscellaneous ceiling and target debris located at the 910th Youngstown Air Reserve Station Small Arms Firing Range. The range is an indoor small-arms range consisting of 21 covered firing points and a bullet-trap dust collection system and outdoor drums and containers. The primary objectives is to accomplish the described work in the following areas at the existing firing range: - The floor, walls, ceiling and all other horizontal surfaces throughout the range from the red line to the bullet trap: Approximately 13,768 ft 2. - The floor, walls, ceiling and all other horizontal surfaces from the red line to the west wall: Approximately. 3,151ft2 - Twenty-one (21) sets of ear protection. - Twenty-one (21) sets of eye protection. - All 762mm cartridge clips (approximately 126 total) located at shooting stations. - All and 9mm cartridges (approximately 63 total) located at shooting stations. - The floor, walls, ceiling and all other horizontal surfaces in the weapon cleaning room adjacent and to the west of the range: Approximately 520ft2. - The floor, walls, ceiling and all other horizontal surfaces in the control room located immediately adjacent to and to the west of the range: Approx. 288ft2. - The floor (from east wall to the western edge of the west support legs under bullet trap) in the room east of the range where the bullet trap is located: Approximately 1,713ft2. - The first ten (10) feet of the south and north walls in the room where the bullet trap is located, up to a height of eight (8) feet. - The entire east wall (137ft long) in the room where the bullet trap is located, up to a height of eight (8) feet. - The exterior east surface of the bullet trap. - The two (2) concrete pads outside and on the south side of the range where the two (2) dust collection drums and one (1) lead and frangible round drum are located. - The exterior drums of debris (2 total) located on the exterior south side of the range underneath the dust hoppers. - The exterior drum of lead and frangible rounds (1 total) also located on the exterior south side of the range and connected to the bullet-trap auger system. - The twenty-one (21) dense foam gun rests. - The twenty-nine (29) protective shooting vests. |
