Accessibility Improvements Part 1 Parking and Park Center Access, Isle of Palms County Park

The renovation of Isle of Palms County Park. Work will include ADA-compliant parking and access improvements to the Park Center Building. The reconstruction of parking to exceed ADA requirements in the Isle of Palms County Park. The work includes hot bituminous paving, concrete paving, curb reclaiming, structure adjustment, fine grading, pavement striping, sign removals and instillation per ADA requirements and other ancillary tasks. Project includes removing portions of existing asphalt areas and replacing with an estimated 340 SY of 6” concrete for accessible parking and 32 SY of 4” concrete for sidewalk accessibility. When project is complete there will be 7 standard-size Accessible car parking spaces; 4 Accessible van parking spaces; 5 standard size concrete car parking spaces; 1 concrete Agency Only parking space and 4 previously labeled Accessible parking spaces converted to standard parking spaces through cover restriping. All work shall meet or exceed the specifications listed on the included plans and meet the most current ADA regulations.
