Description

Berkeley County is requesting bids from qualified firms to remove all remaining structures on the site except for the scales located at 317 Oakley Road Moncks Corner, SC 29461. Questions may be directed to Kayla Gaskins, Buyer, via email at Kayla.Gaskins@berkeleycountysc.gov. The deadline for submitting written questions is January 13, 2023 @ 12:00 PM local time. SUMMARY: Berkeley County is requesting bids from qualified contractors to demolish and dispose of the remaining structures located at 317 Oakley Road Moncks Corner, SC 29461. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: a. The successful bidder shall have the rights to the scrap metal b. The construction debris shall be disposed of at the Berkeley County Class 2 Landfill, by the successful bidder, at no charge. c. All trucks will be required to weigh in and out of both the scrap yard and the landfill for record keeping/regulatory purposes. d. An asbestos survey has been completed and is attached to this document; no asbestos containing materials were found. e. The County will submit the Notification of Demolition to SCDHEC. f. The County will obtain the Demolition permit from Berkeley County Permitting.
